World Cup of Darts Betting Tips & Preview
The World Cup of Darts 2019 gets underway on Thursday 6th June at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg for what promises to be a tournament full of incredible arrows actions as well as loads of twists and turns. From a fan's perspective, this is often one of the most popular tournaments in the PDC calendar, due to the fact it is the only one where the world’s top players team up with 32 countries involved.
There is, of course, the small matter of national pride too, as fans cheer on their home nation with all of their hopes and dreams in the balance. The intriguing thing about the World Cup of Darts is the fact that players that are usually fierce opponents now have to team together, making the possibility for fireworks and entertainment pretty high.
There are some strong looking teams in the mix this year, with three sides acting as the most likely to compete for the crown. Netherlands are the slight favourites, with a change in their line-up as Raymond van Barneveld’s poor form means that he drops out, being replaced by Jermaine Wattimena. England have a strong duo too, with Rob Cross and Michael Smith pulling on the red and white shirt. For third favourites Scotland there are big question marks as Gary Anderson and Peter Wright take their place representing the Tartan Army again.
Bet UK Boosted Price
Rob Cross and Michael Smith are about as strong a team as you can put together in this day and age. James Wade is in good enough form to have made it into the team, but the selection was made due to the Order of Merit, and Michael Smith is currently three places above his counterpart due to his excellent run in the 2019 World Darts Championship.
The thing that we believe will give England the advantage is their teamwork, communication and comradery, which will all be massively important in a tournament like this. This is in comparison to the other favourites the Netherlands, with Michael van Gerwen and Jermaine Wattimena never teaming together before and a number of issues for the Scotland squad. England have the most well-balanced side, and here at Bet UK we believe they will go all the way in the tournament, despite an early banana skin match against the Philippines. Bet UK have a boosted of 3/1 for England to win the World Cup of Darts.

World Cup of Darts Betting Tips - Other Potential Winners
The Netherlands are the darts betting favourites to win their fifth World Cup of Darts title and third overall. However, this is Jermaine Wattimena’s debut and we don’t know how well he and MVG can function as a unit. With matches often coming down to doubles ties, it should be very interesting following them.
It is fair to say that Gary Anderson and Peter Wright are not the greatest of friends away from the oche, but they have to put their differences aside to try and claim a victory for Scotland. They fell just short last year and have never won the tournament, but it’s going to be tough this time around with Anderson struggling to recover from a back injury and Wright woefully out of form.
A decent outside shot are Wales, who reached the final in 2017 with the combination of Gerwyn Price and Mark Webster. Price is partnered by Jonny Clayton now and they will feel like they have a great chance to go far in this tournament. Price is fresh off the back of a solid Premier League Darts campaign and Clayton has done well on the Pro Tour circuit. They should function quite well as a unit too, so if they play well then anything can happen.
Daryl Gurney has had a terrific last few years in the PDC, and goes into the World Cup as 6th seed along with his partner Brendan Dolan. Dolan has been around for a number of years and has been a solid player, plus he had a good run in the World Darts Championship. They have had decent runs in this competition before and are well capable of doing so again.
Dimitri van den Bergh could be the wildcard of the entire competition, as on his day the youngster is well capable of beating anyone in the world. The bigger question marks are surrounding his teammate Kim Huybrechts, who is much more experienced but perhaps not at the same level anymore. If Kim can find his best game, Belgium will be a very dangerous threat.

Bet UK Accumulator
We are also tipping a Bet UK accumulator for the arrows action. Australia, USA and Brazil all to win their first-round matches are odds of 27/10.
Australia have a very strong line-up of Simon Whitlock and Kyle Anderson while their opponents Finland will begin as rank outsiders. USA have steady hands in the form of Darin Young and Chuck Puleo and will start as heavy favourites against a China side that has made a late change to their line-up, with Yuanjun Liu coming in for Qingyu Zhan due to a passport issue. Brazil are an interesting bet at odds of 6/5 against a Sweden side that go in as slight favourites. However, never underestimate this Brazil side, as Diogo Portela always raises his game in this competition in particular. Brazil are an incredibly proud nation and will be sure to have a loud and rowdy crowd travelling to support them.
