Premier League Darts - Night 15 Predictions
There are just two weeks of Premier League regular season action remaining as the PDC’s top-eight performers head to Aberdeen for Week 15.
There is bound to be a cracking atmosphere in the Granite City, and the pressure will be on as the battle for the playoffs draws to a close.
Stephen Bunting to win Night 15 @ 9/1 each-way
Consistency hasn’t been a feature of Stephen Bunting’s Premier League campaign, but the Bullet did win Week 9 in Berlin and the Merseyside man made the final in Rotterdam on Night 11.
The second half of the competition has certainly delivered more points for the former Masters champion and last week in Leeds, Bunting averaged 97.46 and 95.70 in matches against Chris Dobey and Luke Humphries.
The 40-year-old takes on Gerwyn Price, who the Bullet has beaten on four of their last five meetings, in the Aberdeen quarter-finals and is fancied to progress to the semi-final.
Table-toppers Luke Littler and Luke Humphries are both housed in the opposite half of the draw to Bunting, and the Lukes meet at the last-eight stage in Aberdeen.
That looks to open the door to an each-way bet away from those top-level performers, and the 2014 BDO world champion looks the best option.
Chris Dobey to beat Rob Cross @ 17/20
Rob Cross’ chances of reaching the playoffs are slim, and Chris Dobey is in an even more desperate situation.
Voltage could average only 88.76 in a 6-5 loss to Gerwyn Price in Leeds last week, and it was a poor performance in defeat to the Iceman.
The Kent arrowsmith has lost five of his last six Premier League quarter-finals, and another last-eight loss could await in Aberdeen.
Dobey put up numbers of 99.43 in an unfortunate 6-5 defeat to Stephen Bunting in West Yorkshire, and a repeat of that level of performance should see Hollywood through.
Luke Humphries to beat Luke Littler @ 7/5
Luke Humphries downed Luke Littler 6-5 in the Night 14 final in Leeds last week, and Cool Hand can score a repeat success.
The Newbury arrowsmith has won the last two Premier League meetings between these players, and while it’s difficult to dismiss the brilliant talents of Littler, Humphries currently appears a little more consistent.
Cool Hand has averaged at least 100 in four of his last seven Premier League matches, and the former world champion may have the edge over the current PDC king.
