As one of the oldest and largest racecourses in the United Kingdom, Doncaster represents a fantastic opportunity for many horse racing fans to visit one of the biggest attractions in horse racing. Based at Town Moor, Doncaster is home to two of the oldest horse races in the world today in the St Leger Stakes (the centrepiece of the St Leger festival) and the Doncaster Cup. The course is a left-handed track of around 1 mile and 7 1/2 furlongs, totalling up to 3.1km, races at this course are typically flat, meaning racing at Doncaster is common during the National Hunt season.
