NAP Of The Day

Jatiluwih is our NAP of the day for Saturday’s racing in the Intermediate Handicap at 3:30. It’s a big step up in class for Jatiluwih but all the signs point to him being able to handle it without a problem. In his last outing at Wetherby, he strolled to a simple 5L win as an 11/2 outsider. That came at a shorter distance, but earlier in his career, Jatiluwih as shown he can win at 2m 5f, so there is no question of his stamina. David Maxwell makes it 5 rides in a row for the pairing and against a considerably weaker field, Jatiluwih should make it a debut win at Cheltenham.

Dark Horse Of The Day

Siruh Du Lac emerged as a Cheltenham specialist earlier this year with 2 early wins. Both at Cheltenham Trials Day, and on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival, Siruh Du La won in pretty straightforward circumstances. Lizzie Kelly rode both of those races and herself has a decent record at Cheltenham in general. 2m 4f is the length that Siruh Du Lac is probably best suited to. The end of previous races have threatened to pass him by, but that extra half a furlong off the length should benefit him greatly.

Longshot Of The Day

Our longshot of the day comes in one of Friday’s rescheduled races. After racing was postponed, Saturday’s racing will start with the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle and we fancy Some Day Soon to shock a few punters. Some Day Soon was dominant at Class 3 and 4, winning all 4 entered races this year. He took the step up to Class 1 back in October at Chepstow, finishing a respectable 3rd. He showed signs of promise though and finished strongly, a trait that will benefit him at 2m 5f again. With Gavin Sheehan riding him again on Saturday, he will get the best out of Some Day Soon and a late place isn’t out of the question at 12/1.
