Premier League Matchday 4 Preview

Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United is the big-ticket contest on matchday four of the Premier League season and there should be plenty of entertainment at the Emirates on Sunday. Bet on the Premier League Brighton and Newcastle are on the recovery trail after defeats last weekend and they meet at the Amex on Saturday. Tottenham’s impressive start under Ange Postecoglou was dented by an EFL Cup defeat to Fulham in midweek, but Spurs have the chance to make it three wins from four top-flight games at Burnley. Champions Man City host Fulham on Saturday, while Liverpool welcome Aston Villa to Anfield on Sunday.

Tip 1 - Arsenal to beat Manchester United @ 3/4

Arsenal are 3/4 to beat Manchester United on Sunday and that looks to massively underplay the superiority of the Gunners. Mikel Arteta’s men have won four of their last five home Premier League meetings with the Red Devils. In the meeting at the Emirates last season, the Gunners bossed the ball, won the shot count and corner count 12-4 and Arsenal are the side that have progressed their squad in the summer. Yes, the Red Devils beat the north London outfit 3-1 at Old Trafford last term, but that was a mighty unjust result and there’s been little in the early performances from Erik ten Hag’s men to suggest they will be winning on Sunday. United were poor in a narrow 1-0 home win over Wolves, they were turned over by Spurs and were in big trouble before beating Forest 3-2 last weekend. Arsenal haven’t been entirely convincing themselves, but the Gunners can show they are a class above United on Sunday. Back Arsenal to beat Manchester United @ 3/4

Tip 2 - Nottingham Forest/draw double chance @ 15/8

Chelsea earned plenty of plaudits for their performance in an opening day 1-1 draw with Liverpool, but the Blues didn’t win that contest and they were then hammered 3-1 by West Ham. Mauricio Pochettino’s men got their first victory of the season when beating Luton 3-0 last Friday, but that wasn’t an entirely convincing performance against the relegation favourites and the Blues already have injury issues with Christopher Nkunku, Carney Chukwuemeka, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah and Mykhaylo Mudryk all out. Nottingham Forest showed they are more than capable of competing with the Premier League’s big boys when losing 2-1 to Arsenal and 3-2 to Man Utd on the road and Steve Cooper’s side look capable of collecting at least a point in west London. Back Nottingham Forest win/draw against Chelsea @ 15/8

Tip 3 - Tottenham to beat Burnley @ 4/5

Burnley have opened the Premier League season with a pair of heavy defeats, those reversal have come against good sides in Man City and Aston Villa, but it’s still a concern that the Clarets have conceded six goals and they now take on another top team in Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou has made a bright start to life in London, and an EFL Cup defeat at Fulham in midweek can be forgiven, given it was a much-changed side. Spurs can get back to winning ways at Turf Moor. Back Nottingham Forest win/draw against Chelsea @ 15/8
