Premier League Matchday 3 Preview

Premier League Betting Tips: Matchday Three

Premier League games are coming thick and fast and we have picked out three selections for the third round of matches this weekend. Bet on the Premier League More Premier League Tips

Bournemouth v Tottenham – Over 3.5 Total Goals @ 27/20

The Ange Postecoglou era at Tottenham has got off to a solid start, with a 2-2 draw at Brentford and a 2-0 home win over Manchester United The former Celtic manager’s attacking style should make Spurs one of the most exciting teams in this season’s Premier League but it also makes them vulnerable. The Red Devils missed a number of chances to punish Spurs last week and it could have been a higher-scoring affair. Postecoglou’s side face Bournemouth in the early kick-off on Saturday and the teams are fancied to put on a show. The Cherries were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool last weekend and can be involved in another entertaining clash. Tottenham’s tactics should turn this into an open affair and both teams should play their part in a game that may feature more than three goals.

Brentford v Crystal Palace – Brentford @ Evs

Brentford have transformed into one of the Premier League’s most awkward teams as they have shown in their first two games, a 2-2 draw with Spurs and a 3-0 win at Fulham. Without Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa have stepped up to fill the goalscoring void and the Bees are a menace in both boxes with their physicality. Thomas Frank’s men also lost just twice in 19 home league games last term, winning ten and they should have too much for Crystal Palace. The Eagles have been buoyed by Michael Olise signing a new contract but the Frenchman is injured and they are still reeling from the loss of Wilfried Zaha. Palace squeezed past Sheffield United in their opener but have a lack of firepower that may catch them out in this clash. Bet on the Premier League

Burnley v Aston Villa - Aston Villa @ 21/20

Aston Villa have had a sharp turnaround after their 5-1 loss at Newcastle on the opening weekend, beating Everton 4-0 last weekend before a 5-0 midweek win at Hibs in the Europa Conference League qualifiers. They take on Burnley on Sunday and should have their opponents’ number. Vincent Kompany’s men showed flashes of quality in their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City but the jump to the Premier League remains a big one and it may be some time before they are competing with teams such as Villa. Unai Emery’s men are all but through in Europe so have no reason to rest players and should be able to see off the Clarets. Back Aston Villa to beat Burnley
