Premier League Matchday 11 Preview

Matchday 11 continues the Premier League season, with seven matches on Saturday, two on Sunday and one blockbuster on Monday in Tottenham vs Chelsea. Bet on the Premier League The first game in our preview is a London derby as David Moyes looks to tick the one team he has never beaten as a manager off his list, Brentford as the Bees host West Ham United. Our second game sees a desperate Sheffield United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers who had an impressive draw at home to Newcastle United last week, the same opposition who beat their hosts 0-8. Finally, the third game could be a goal-fest and an embarrassing result for AFC Bournemouth, winless so far this season, as they head to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City. Brentford vs West Ham – Brentford to win @ 21/20

A West London Derby success at Stamford Bridge last Saturday has sent shockwaves of optimism flooding through Brentford and the Bees will approach another capital dust-up on Saturday in a confident mood. Brentford did superbly to soak up the Chelsea pressure before launching two incredible counter-attacks, winning 2-0 at the five-time Premier League champions. That success followed a 3-0 victory over Burnley and Brentford are flying up the table. Since defeating Chelsea, Brentford have had a week off to recover, so are fresh for the fight at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday. Their opponents, in contrast, had Carabao Cup commitments on Wednesday night. West Ham beat Arsenal 3-1 to progress to the quarter-finals but they could end up leggy against Brentford in the second half. Everton beat West Ham last Sunday and Brentford can do likewise on Saturday.

Sheffield United vs Wolves – Wolves half-time, Wolves full-time @ 2/1

Sheffield United have made an abysmal start to their Premier League campaign and Blades supporters already appear to have lost hope of surviving in this division. United have lost 41 of their last 51 Premier League games – their last promotion ended in failure too – and Championship football appears to be their level these days. They have conceded 98 goals in those 51 matches, which includes an 8-0 loss at home to Newcastle in September. Derby County recorded the lowest Premier League points total when ending up with only 11 points in 2008. The Rams won only one of their 38 league matches. Sheffield United are yet to win any of their matches this season and have registered only one point. Given how leaky they have been at the back, it seems entirely feasible they could break Derby's record. Wolves, unbeaten in five Premier League games, beat Manchester City at the end of September and will feel confident of taking three points from Bramall Lane. Expect an early breakthrough against nervous hosts.

Manchester City vs Bournemouth – Manchester City to win 8-0 @ 45/1

Gary O'Neil guided Bournemouth to Premier League survival last season, but was ruthlessly discarded by the Cherries board – a decision which is looking increasingly foolish as every week passes. Bournemouth have won just one of their 10 Premier League games this season and are looking in great danger of relegation. A trip to the Etihad Stadium is the last fixture the south-coast strugglers need at the moment and a heavy defeat appears in the offing. Manchester City had no midweek commitments and they come into this game with some freshness in their legs. Given Bournemouth were involved in Carabao Cup action on Wednesday night, suffering an agonising 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, City can be expected to dominate throughout. Perhaps City will even be in the mood to match Newcastle's feat of September by handing out an 8-0 thrashing to one of the Premier League minnows.
