Who is Kieren Fallon?

When looking for expert horse racing tips, you won't find many people more qualified than Kieren Fallon to provide them. Having recorded his first classic win in 1997 while riding Sleepytime as a stable jockey for Sir Henry Cecil, Fallon would cement his first champion jockey status later that year, with an impressive 202 wins throughout the season.

This trend would continue for five of the next six seasons, with Kieren only missing out on the Champion Jockey title in 2000 due to a serious arm injury from a fall at Royal Ascot. By the time he retired, Fallon boasted multiple wins around the world, including in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Australia, and the United States.

SPECIAL MENTION: Wednesday 7th September: Leger Legends Race (15:00)

Our special mention this week comes in the form of the Legends race at Doncaster on Wednesday where our ambassador Kieren Fallon rides Shine on Brendan. The horse has had a tremendous year and has a fantastic chance of victory with Kieren Fallon.

Shine On Brendan: 3/1

Thursday 8th September: May Hill Stakes (14:35)

Head - Dance in the Grass - 5/4

'I just thought, when I saw Mark Johnston's name pop up, this horse I thought, this is the one for the May Hill"

Dance in the Grass has won its first two races, both at Sandown, with the first seeing it defy the odds as a 20/1 winner, as the horse has been gravely undervalued in the past, could be it overvalued here? Kieren Fallon believes that the 2-Y-O is every bit as good as the odds state.

Heart - Frankness - 4/1

Unfortunately, since the podcast was recorded, Fallon's original pick Magical Sunset has pulled out of the running for the 14:35 at Doncaster. However, the horse could still run in the Doncaster £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes on Thursday or the Flying Scotsman Stakes on Friday.

Fortunately, Kieren Fallon was able to give us a replacement selection before the race. Frankness is an impressive horse who wasn't expected to race in the May Hill Stakes but the fact that Andrew Balding has put it forward shows how confident he is with the horse winning.

The horse was 7/1 to win the May Hill stakes after winning first time out.

Hunch Cell Sa Bella - 12/1

Unfortunately, similarly to Magical Sunset, Library has pulled out of the running for the 14:35 at Doncaster. However, after taking three attempts to get her first win but Fallon believed the filly was a tough cookie, capable of pulling off the upset.

However if you're looking for Library this weekend, it will be racing in either the Leopardstown Ingabelle Stakes on Saturday (1:30) or the Curragh Stud Stakes on Sunday (3:00).

Fortunately, Fallon has provided up with an additional tip as he has a hunch that Cell Sa Bella will upset the odds at 12/1.

Thursday 8th September: Park Hill Stakes (15:10)

Head - Eshaada - 11/8

Heart - Believe Love - 4/1

Hunch - Urban Artist - 7/1

Friday 8th September: Doncaster Cup (15:10)

Head - Coltrane - 5/1

"It looks like he'll get his ground, everybody loves the horse and he'll be tough to beat, he was given a mountain to climb at York and still came up good"

Despite winning just two of his last eight races, Coltrane is a tough horse to beat and consistently finishes in the top 2, making him a fantastic each way bet.

Heart - Trueshan - 1/2

"I'd love to see the horse win"

Fallon believes that Trueshan is definitely one of the strongest horses in the race and is an excellent shout for a winner bet but recognises that Coltrane may be better priced at this level, especially as an each way bet.

Hunch - Stratum 14/1

"Willie Mullins wouldn't send a horse over for nothing, he sends them over and they typically do very well."

You could argue that the quote above is just one of the many reasons that Willie Mullins is a legend of the industry, with horses like Stratum valued at 14/1, he has a good chance of boosting his earnings this week.

Saturday - St Leger

Head - New London - 4/5

"I can't see beyond New London and I saw him this morning, he looks an absolute picture!"

Need anything more than that? The horse is training great and it leads the odds, it might take something special to beat New London this weekend.

Heart - Emily Dickinson - 12/1

"I would love to see a filly win this race, I can't even remember when the last time one won here. I'd love to see it and I don't think it's happened in my time."

spacer

Hunch - Eldar Eldarov - 4/1

Eldar Eldarov looks to be the only horse that will challenge New London for victory unless something goes wrong for the favourite but at 4/1, could Eldar Eldarov also have some each-way value?
