Europa League Final Tips & Predictions

Tottenham and Manchester United will hope to put disastrous Premier League campaigns behind them when they meet in Wednesday's Europa League final in Bilbao.

The two clubs can only finish as high as 14th domestically, and both United boss Ruben Amorim and Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou have been linked with the exit door in the last few weeks.

Spurs have lost two in a row ahead of the final, as have United, but the winner will earn a place in next season's Champions League and there's so much riding on Wednesday's game in Spain.

Tip 1: Under 2.5 goals @ 17/20

It feels strange to be tipping a lack of goals in a game involving Tottenham and Manchester United, but Wednesday's contest should be cagey.

This will be the fourth meeting between the pair this season and while the first two meetings featured three and seven goals respectively, the most recent finished 1-0 to Tottenham in what was a drab affair in North London.

Spurs' defensive frailties are well known, but none of their last four games have contained over two goals and Postecoglou does not have his full-strength line up to choose from.

Tottenham have failed to score in two consecutive games, as have United, and the pressure of Wednesday's final should take its toll on the players.

United and Spurs are desperate to secure a spot in next year's Champions League, and that should mean that both teams take a cautious approach, which should result in a low-scoring game.

Tip 2: Bruno Fernandes to score or assist @ 7/5

If Manchester United are to have any joy on Wednesday, midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes should be at the heart of it.

The Portugal international has scored 19 goals and got 19 assists in 55 appearances this season in all competitions.

Seven of those goals and five of those assists have come in the Europa League and Fernandes is a player that is made for the big occasion.

Fernandes has scored six of his Europa League goals in the knockout stages, and he could be a key figure in Bilbao.

Tip 3: Pedro Porro Over 0.5 shots on target @ 29/10

Spurs like to attack using width under Postecoglou, and that should bring the best out of right-back Pedro Porro.

Porro has registered 18 shots on target this season, while he has had an incredible 62 efforts on goal. That is some return for a right-back, as only forwards Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, and Son Heung-Min have had more efforts on goal for Spurs this season.

In his last four appearances in the Europa League, Porro has had three shots on target, and he can give United's defence plenty to think about in Bilbao.
