Gary O'Neil unlikely to leave in 2024/25

It looks very likely that Gary O'Neil will remain in charge of Wolves for the foreseeable future. Last season, Wolves were plagued with injuries to key players with Pedro Neto, Matheus Cunha, Hwang Hee-Chan and Craig Dawson all picking up long-term injuries during the season. Despite that, Wolves finished with a 37.78% win rate in all competitions and finished 14th, despite winning just one of their last 10 games.

A late turnaround from Coventry City prevented them from making the FA Cup semi-final and their end to the campaign was disappointing but Wolves had nothing to play for and subsequently struggled with that.

They should improve next season but this will be Gary O'Neil's first summer with the club and it looks likely that Wolves will give O'Neil time to get the club into the top half of the table.
