AC Milan Odds

AC Milan Manager: Stefano Pioli

AC Milan Captain: Davide Calabria

AC Milan Star Player: Rafael Leao

AC Milan Competitions: Italian Serie A, Coppa Italia, UEFA Champions League

One half of Italy's greatest derby, AC Milan have a decorated history and are without a doubt one of the biggest teams in Italy at present. Sharing a ground with their local rivals Inter Milan, their rivalry is one of the biggest in the world and it comes as no surprise that both teams have had significant success and brought trophies back to the San Siro. Last season, Milan surprised many bettors when reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, they were bested over two legs by local rivals Inter but few would have bet on Milan making that stage of the tournament. AC Milan failed to build on their Serie A season win in 2021-22 but with star man Rafael Leao staying at the club, they have hopes of repeating that feat in the 2023/24 season.

Betting on AC Milan in Serie A

AC Milan will always sit towards the top of the betting odds for Serie A. Their decorated history and the quality of their teams ensure that the club sits in the upper-echelons of Italian football. Last season they finished fourth, at the start of 2023, they were in a title fight by February 6th, they were out of it falling from 2nd to 6th, Milan drew 10 games last season while their local rivals Inter drew only three and finished above them - AC were hard to beat but struggled to win games during rough patches of the season. Striker Olivier Giroud was their top goalscorer in all competitions but only managed 13 goals in Serie A.

The winner of the competition in 2022/23 was Napoli who finished on 90 points, 20 ahead of AC Milan. Milan drew seven more games than Inter and ultimately, it cost them the league. Whether or not this was down to defensive errors or the fact they weren't clinical enough in games, that remains to be seen. They were popular in football betting tips as AC Milan odds were typically quite good at the start of the season. How will they fare in 2023/24? Check out our Italian Serie A odds for the season ahead.

Betting on AC Milan in Coppa Italia

Astonishingly AC Milan haven't won the Coppa Italia since 2002-23, despite entering the competition at the round of 16 stage virtually every season. They have only made the final on two occasions since then, in 2015-16 and 2017-18, losing to Juventus on both occasions. Milan obviously take UEFA Champions League and Serie A matches more seriously than a Coppa Italia game but given the club have been starved of success in comparison to fan expectations, a Coppa Italia win certainly wouldn't go amiss. Last season, they were dumped out by Torino in their first match. The year prior, they bested Torino in the opening game but then lost to local rivals Inter 2-1. Can AC Milan end their Coppa Italia draught in 2024? Our Coppa Italia odds indicate it will be tough for them to do so.

Betting on AC Milan in UEFA Champions League

Last seasons UEFA Champions League campaign was a successful one for AC Milan, who made the semi-final before being dumped out of the competition by local rivals Inter Milan. If it wasn't for a dismal first leg where Inter were 2-0 up in 11 minutes, they would have been happy with the finish. However, it left a sour taste in the mouths of AC Milan fans and arguably ruined what was otherwise a good campaign.

In 2023/24, we can't see them performing any better. In-fact as they begin the Champions League campaign in pot 3, their best chance of success would be going through the Europa League but even then, bookmakers would likely favour the likes of Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion over AC Milan. AC could end up in a group with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Newcastle United. So, a third place finish in the group stage could end up being difficult. Alternatively, they could end up in a group with Feyenoord, Porto and Lens, in-which scenario, AC Milan would be heavy favourites to progress.

Betting on AC Milan transfers

The summer transfer window has been a relatively successful one for AC Milan, the only negative is the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United. However, Milan managed to recuperate a fantastic fee for the Italian which has allowed them to sign Ruben Lofus-Cheek, Noah Okafor, Christian Pulisic and Samnuel Chukwueze with a net spend of four million euros for those specific transfers.

Milan have looked to young players with significant potential in recent years with RLC the oldest player they have spent more than 10 million on since the signings of Nikola Kalinic and Gonzalo Higuain in 2018.

Next AC Milan Manager Betting

Stefano Pioli has been AC Milan manager since 2019 and has had a reasonably successful period in charge at the club, winning the Serie A title with the club and being the first to do so since Massimiliano Allegri in 2011. However, the 2022/23 campaign was actually his worst win percentage as manager at the club, the first time that he has slipped under 50% during a season. However, since the 1960's, only Fabio Capello and Carlo Ancelotti have had better win rates than Pioli.

If Pioli was to leave, a large number of the popular managers out of a job have an association with their rivals Inter Milan, meaning they would be less likely to take on the role. Some names that don't follow this are Andre Villas-Boas and Julen Lopetegui. However, if they wish to stick with an Italian manager, then it might be difficult to look beyond Antonio Conte, despite his experiences with Juventus and Inter Milan.
