A driver who has been rolling back the years with some of his performances this season, two-time world champion Fernando Alonso has impressed in his Aston Martin this term.

Currently sat in third place in the Drivers’ Championship behind the Red Bull duo of Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Alonso is battling to be the best of the rest this year.

With seven podium finishes already this season, Alonso knows what it takes to see off the other challengers to claim a spot in the top three and can do so again this weekend.

Bet 2: Carlos Sainz Jr to finish ahead of Charles Leclerc @ 11/10

Carlos Sainz Jr is currently edging things in the battle of the Ferraris, as the Spaniard leads his team-mate Charles Leclerc by six points in the Drivers’ Championship.

The fight between the two Scuderia drivers has been an intriguing one, with both racers pretty evenly matched in their cars this season.

Sainz Jr managed to edge out Leclerc in the Italian Grand Prix last time out to finish in third place on the podium at Monza.

The pair had a good battle for that third spot that almost came to blows out on the track.

Finishing ahead of his team-mate will have given Sainz Jr plenty of confidence ahead of the trip to Singapore and he might well be able to get the better of the Monégasque again this weekend at Marina Bay.

Bet 3: George Russell to finish ahead of Lewis Hamilton @ 11/10

George Russell secured the fastest lap in the race in the Singapore Grand Prix last year and clearly likes the track at Marina Bay.

Russell finished ahead of Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the last race at the Italian Grand Prix, with the understudy claiming fifth place in Monza.

Growing in confidence with each race, and considering his blistering pace in Singapore last season, Russell looks to be good value to finish ahead of the seven-time world champion Hamilton again this weekend.
