Brazilian Grand Prix Betting Tips

The frantic finish to the Formula 1 season continues with a third race in as many weeks as the circus heads to Interlagos for this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen has long since wrapped up the drivers' championship, but his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez is under pressure from Lewis Hamilton for second place in the standings.

The Sao Paulo circuit has dished up more than its fair share of drama over the years and, with this being the sixth and final sprint weekend of the season, there's every chance we could see more memorable racing at the track this week.

Bet on Formula 1

Tip 1 - Lando Norris podium finish at 3/4

McLaren's Lando Norris made a rare error in qualifying in Mexico last week and had to start down in 17th.

That meant extending his streak of podium finishes to five was always going to be virtually impossible, but the Bristolian racer provided plenty of entertainment on his way to finishing fifth.

Norris carved through the field in the race, which was interrupted by a red flag, and even his team-mate Oscar Piastri, who had started ten places ahead of him, had no answer to the popular Briton's relentless pace.

By the finish, Norris had closed the gap on the Ferraris ahead of him leaving no doubts that the McLaren driver would have comfortably made another podium appearance had he started in a more representative grid spot.

Since a major mid-season upgrade the McLaren has looked suited to most track types other than very high-speed, which Interlagos is not, so Norris looks a decent bet to make a quick return to the rostrum.

Tip 2 - Lewis Hamilton to win the race at 15/2

Red Bull have won all but one of this season's 19 races, with Verstappen taking a record 16 victories, so clearly the Dutch dynamo is the man to beat in Brazil.

However, it hasn't historically been the best track for him and if he is to prove vulnerable anywhere it could be at Interlagos.

Verstappen finished only sixth in Brazil last year on a particularly messy weekend, as Mercedes claimed not only their first victory of the year but a 1-2 finish to boot.

George Russell was the victor on that occasion, earning his first Grand Prix win, but Hamilton has been in much better form recently.

The seven-time world champion could arguably have three second-place finishes from the last three events.

He crashed out at the first corner in Qatar, but was going for the lead there, and the car subsequently proved competitive in race conditions with Russell recovering from the back of the field to finish fourth.

Hamilton then chased down Verstappen in Texas only to be thrown out of the results for a technical infringement, before a well-earned runner-up spot in Mexico.

The Briton is adored in Brazil and has perhaps his best chance of ending the longest winless streak of his career this weekend.

Tip 3 - Pierre Gasly points finish at 17/20

Alpine's Pierre Gasly is another driver with fond memories of Interlagos, having picked up his first career podium finish there by finishing second for Toro Rosso in 2019.

Gasly just missed out on the points in Mexico, finishing 11th, but he has twice finished in the top six in the last five races and even scored a podium in the Netherlands.

We’re backing the Frenchman to finish in the top ten on Sunday and continue his run of good form for Alpine.
