Premier League: Matchday 37 Tips
Matchday 37 marks the penultimate round of Premier League fixtures as the season begins to draw to a close.
Tottenham and Manchester United will be meeting in the Europa League final next week, but before that they kick-off the domestic action this weekend with games against Aston Villa and Chelsea on Friday night.
We have four selections to enhance the top-flight action.
Bet 1: Over 3.5 goals in Aston Villa v Tottenham @ 10/11
Tottenham have lost 20 of their 36 Premier League matches this season and it’s one win in their last 10 top-flight games. It’s no surprise, therefore, to see Ange Postecoglou’s side down in 17th place.
It’s pretty difficult to fancy Spurs to beat Aston Villa, who are chasing a top-five finish, at the best of times and even more tricky with Tottenham’s eyes instead on their big final date with United.
Villa should be comfortable winners on home turf and backing over 3.5 goals looks the best way to go in what should be a dominant success for Unai Emery’s men.
Bet 2: Enzo Fernandez to score or assist in Chelsea v Manchester United @ 6/5
It’s seven top flight matches without success for Manchester United and it’s hard to see how the Red Devils can avoid defeat at Champions League-chasing Chelsea.
Enzo Fernandez has contributed six goals and seven assists in 34 Premier League appearances this term and the 24-year-old is now delivering on his huge price tag.
Like Spurs, United will be looking ahead to the Europa League final and Fernandez can take advantage. He looks a good bet to score or assist at Stamford Bridge.
Bet 3: West Ham to beat Nottingham Forest @ 7/4
Defeat to Brentford and draws with Crystal Palace and Leicester have dented Nottingham Forest’s top-five push and the Tricky Trees looked all at sea when conceding a late leveller to the Foxes last weekend.
It’s been an excellent season for the Reds, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have hit only seven goals in their last nine matches in all competitions as the pressure has built.
West Ham haven’t offered a great deal this season, but the Irons have lost only four of their last nine Premier League matches and they should be buoyed by last weekend’s 2-0 victory at Old Trafford.
Graham Potter will want to sign off the season in East London on a high, as the Hammers build for next season, and West Ham are a bet at 7/4 on Sunday.
Bet 4: Over 2.5 goals in Arsenal v Newcastle @ 7/10
Arsenal and Newcastle clash in a contest which could be pivotal in the Gunners’ quest to finish second in the Premier League this term.
This should be an entertaining contest. The Gunners have seen five of their last seven matches go over 2.5 goals and both teams have found the net in six of those games.
There have been 31 strikes in Newcastle’s last nine contests, and there should be plenty of goalmouth action at the Emirates on Sunday.
