Premier League: Matchday 37 Tips

Arsenal sit a point clear of Man City going into Premier League matchday 37 this weekend, but Citizens have an all-important game in hand on the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s men go to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday, but this time the Red Devils are not Arsenal’s title rivals.

City head to Fulham in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, while there are crucial games in the battle to avoid relegation and the race for a European place.

Tip 1 Liverpool to beat Aston Villa @ 13/20

Liverpool’s hopes of sending Jurgen Klopp off with another Premier League title are over, but the Reds should have enough to see off Aston Villa.

The Merseysiders were back to their brilliant best when cruising Tottenham 4-2 last time out and that was a game where the Reds racked up 25 shots on goal.

Clearly, that victory came at Anfield and Klopp’s men head to Villa Park on Monday night, but Villa had a tough trip to Greece in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night and it’s not difficult to think that contest may have left a mark.

Tip 2 Arsenal to score over 2.5 goals @ 49/50

Arsenal have to hope that Man City drop points in their remaining three games of the campaign, but outside of that the Gunners should take care of their own task when they head to Man Utd on Sunday.

Arteta’s side are a progressive and high-level outfit and that is a world away from what we have seen from the home side this season.

United were hammered 4-0 at Crystal Palace last Monday, in what was a woeful performance and it’s just one win inside 90 minutes for the Red Devils in their last nine games.

Erik ten Hag is a manager under pressure and a whole host of defensive injuries aren’t going to ease the Dutchman’s worries.

Tip 3 Fulham/draw double chance v Man City @ 3/1

Man City have won six Premier League matches on the bounce as they hunt down the title, but a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham could represent a tricky hurdle to overcome.

City are a fantastic side, but the Citizens have kept only six clean sheets in 25 all-competition away matches this term and the Cottagers could prove tough to break down if they do get on the scoresheet.

The Cottagers have beaten Arsenal, Man Utd, Brighton and Spurs this season and they may hold up City’s title parade.

Tip 4 Chelsea to beat Nottingham Forest @ 10/11

Chelsea are chasing a European place and, while it’s not the Champions League spot they would have hoped for at the start of the season, the Blues should be well motivated at Nottingham Forest.

The west Londoners showed they have major talent in their ranks when hammering Spurs and West Ham in their last two Premier League games and they look good value to win at the City Ground.

A £1 four-fold returns £25.87.
