Premier League Betting Tips - Gameweek 30
The Premier League reaches Matchday 30 with a cracking set of midweek fixtures getting underway on Tuesday evening.
Nottingham Forest's clash with Manchester United is one of the highlights on Tuesday night, while there’s a Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton.
The games roll on to Thursday when Chelsea and Tottenham do battle at Stamford Bridge and we have four selections ahead of the midweek top-flight action.
Tip 1 - West ham to beat Wolves @ 41/20
Wolves have steered clear of relegation danger, but that is mainly down to the awful form of the three teams below them in the Premier League standings, and Vítor Pereira’s men look vulnerable to West Ham at Molineux.
Wolves have won only three of their 14 home league matches this term and there looks little value in the 27/20 on offer about the Black County outfit.
West Ham have collected victories over Arsenal and Leicester since Graham Potter took charge at the London Stadium and the Hammers played with credit when collecting a 1-1 draw at Everton prior to the international break.
Clearly, there is more work for Potter to undertake, but at the prices, the Irons look a bet to leave Molineux with three points.
Tip 2 - Nottingham Forest to beat Manchester United @ 5/4
Nottingham Forest put a lot into their FA Cup quarter-final penalty shootout success over Brighton on Saturday, and that is a slight concern when Manchester United head for the City Ground on Tuesday night, but Forest are a vastly superior side to the Red Devils and they are fancied to show that in front of a home crowd.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s men are unbeaten in their last eight home Premier League matches and it’s only two defeats inside 90 minutes for Forest in 17 all-competition City Ground games this term.
That’s an impressive record, and United haven’t shown that they are capable of challenging a side at the level of the Tricky Trees.
Tip 3 - Everton or draw double chance v Liverpool @ 11/5
Liverpool have the Premier League title all but wrapped up, but the Reds may suffer a little stutter in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night.
Arne Slot’s side were dumped out of the Champions League by PSG prior to the international break and the Merseyside outfit were challenged in the two legs of that last-16 tie.
The Reds were again second-best when losing the EFL Cup final to Newcastle and Liverpool look pretty short at home to their city rivals.
Everton are unbeaten in their last nine top-flight matches and David Moyes’ men can take at least a point from their short trip to Anfield.
Tip 4 - Tottenham to beat Chelsea @ 7/2
Tottenham head for Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in a London derby on Thursday night and Spurs rated the best bet on the midweek Premier League card.
Chelsea have won only four of their last 13 Premier League matches and those victories have come against four of the top flight’s bottom five clubs in Southampton, Leicester, Wolves and West Ham.
The Blues offered little in terms of an attacking threat when losing 1-0 at Arsenal prior to the international break, and Enzo Maresca’s men look awful value at 6/10 on Thursday night.
