Premier League Matchday 10 Preview

Matchday ten continues the Premier League season, with four matches on Saturday and five on Sunday – the Manchester derby closing proceedings. Bet on the Premier League The first game of our matchday 10 preview is one of the title favourites versus one of the relegation favourites as Arsenal take on Sheffield United, whose manager could be starting to feel the pressure. Our second game sees Aston Villa, who will be looking to continue their impressive home form take on Luton Town, who will be scrapping for any points they can get at Villa Park. Our final game sees Liverpool take on Nottingham Forest in what should be a routine victory and Anfield but we've seen in previous years, nothing in routine in the Premier League. Arsenal v Sheffield United – Arsenal to win 2-0 @ 6/1

The timing of Arsenal's home fixture against Sheffield United could mean the Gunners fail to put the Blades to the sword as comprehensively as some punters expect. This looks a straightforward assignment for the title-chasing Londoners – no team in the Premier League has conceded more goals than Sheffield United – and Arsenal will expect to register three points with the minimum of fuss. A mixture of complacency and some tired legs, though, may see Arsenal make a lacklustre start. They had a tough Champions League trip to Seville on Tuesday, battling to a 2-1 victory despite the Spaniards dominating possession. And on Wednesday, Arsenal travel to West Ham for an EFL Cup last-16 tie. It is easy to imagine the Gunners doing just enough to beat Sheffield United then making several substitutions in the closing stages. So a 2-0 Arsenal victory could be on the cards. Aston Villa v Luton – Draw @ 21/4

A [Europa Conference League](/betting/football/europa-conference-league_ mission to AZ Alkmaar on a Thursday evening is far from ideal preparation for this weekend's Premier League engagement for Aston Villa, who may fail to justify their short odds against Luton on Sunday. Villa were delighted to secure European football last season, but Thursday's trip to the Netherlands could take its toll on Unai Emery's men. Luton have picked up only five points from nine Premier League matches this season, but the Hatters have not been getting thrashed, showing plenty of spirit and resilience when losing by a one-goal margin to West Ham, Fulham, Burnley and Tottenham. Luton have drawn with Wolves, beaten Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park, and last time out battled to a 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest. If Villa suffer any ill effects from their Thursday-night European excursion, Luton can take a point home from Villa Park. Bet on Villa to draw with Luton

Liverpool v Nottingham Forest – Draw-Liverpool HT/FT @ 18/5

Another side taking part in European action on Thursday was Liverpool, who hosted Toulouse, and as a result the Reds may be slow out the blocks against Nottingham Forest on Sunday. A wager on Liverpool to win a game that is level at half-time makes plenty of appeal given how well Nottingham Forest have acquitted themselves against the Premier League big guns this season. Forest can hang on until the interval, before the 19-time champions of England deliver the result that the Anfield faithful crave. This season, Forest have lost 2-1 at Arsenal, 3-2 at Manchester United, 2-0 at Manchester City, as well as beating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. Steve Cooper's Tricky Trees will feel confident they can give Liverpool a tough time for at least the first half if Liverpool suffer a continental hangover.
