Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Betting Tips

The ultimate crossover fight takes place on Saturday night when the undefeated WBC world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury takes on former UFC heavyweight champion and MMA star Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.

It’s a ten-round boxing contest on Saturday night and that clearly gives all the advantages to Fury, but there is an intrigue to the fight, given that Ngannou is such a fearsome fighter.

The Gypsy King is the red-hot 1/14 favourite for the Riyadh clash, with Ngannou 6/1 to cause a major upset and inflict the first defeat of Fury’s career.

There are three interesting heavyweight clashes on the undercard too, with Fabio Wardley taking on David Adeleye, Joseph Parker facing Simon Kean and Martin Bakole will be looking to shine against Carlos Takam.

Tip 1 - Tyson Fury to win in rounds 1-2 @ 3/1

Fury is 1/14 to win this fight but it’s quite possible that the Morecambe man should be 1/100.

The Gypsy King is an elite-level unbeaten heavyweight boxing champion and the 35-year-old would be the favourite to win a ten-round boxing match against any fighter on the planet.

Fury is a 6ft 9in beast who has seen off every challenge he has faced, and also came through three fights with the heavy-hitting Deontay Wilder. There isn’t even a concern that the power of Ngannou could cause the Briton problems and this is the Predator’s boxing debut.

Ngannou is going to have to be the best heavyweight in the world to win this contest and the former UFC star has to do it on his maiden experience of the sweet science.

Not only is Ngannou unlikely to have the skills, or knowledge of boxing to be competitive in this crossover contest, the Cameroon fighter is 37 years old and a ten-round boxing match is likely to be way beyond the conditioning of the MMA man.

Fury has the ability to win this contest at his pleasure and at the prices it could pay to back the Gypsy King for first or second round glory.

Tip 2 - Fabio Wardley to beat David Adeleye - 3/10

On the undercard, British heavyweights Wardley and Adeleye clash in what should be an exciting fight. The Lonsdale belt would have been up for grabs had this bout taken place on British soil, but there are still two unbeaten records on the line.

Wardley is the champion and the Ipswich slugger has good wins over Nick Webb and Nathan Gorman on his card. That isn’t world-level form, but it’s far more than Adeleye has achieved in his career and Wardley has won 15 of his 16 fights by stoppage.

Adeleye is unexposed and unbeaten, but the Londoner is unproven and this represents a major step up in class. This contest is by far the toughest test of Big D’s career and the Ladbroke Grove fighter also has to prove that he can handle the power of a heavy-hitting British champion. Take Wardley by stoppage in this matchup.
