Manchester United v Tottenham Betting Tips
A few weeks ago, this fixture would have been a mid table scrap with both sides completely out of form. Now, it’s Jose Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford, and he has a chance to put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer out of his job. Tottenham have already climbed up to 5th under Mourinho, but will be overtaken by Manchester United on Wednesday if they don’t get a result at Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s Recent Form
Last Time Out For Manchester United
It was another disappointing afternoon for Manchester United as they dropped two points at home to Aston Villa. It took just 10 minutes for the atmosphere to turn sour at Old Trafford. Jack Grealish followed up his outstanding performance against Newcastle with a curling effort from the edge of the area to give Villa the early lead. Villa had another early goal disallowed, but it was United who grabbed the next goal, after Rashford’s header was deflected in by Tom Heaton. After the break, Victor Lindelof headed in to give United a lead, but it would only last for two minutes. A cleverly worked Villa set piece left Tyrone Mings completely unmarked 6 yards out, and he happily fired home a volley to level the scores again. The draw leaves United in 10th, 8 places outside of the top 4. Man U seem to be good at grabbing the odd goal, but can’t keep a clean sheet. Against Spurs on Wednesday, both teams to score seems inevitable.
Tottenham’s Recent Form
Last Time Out For Tottenham
Tottenham’s rip-roaring start under Jose Mourinho continued with a 3-2 home win over Bournemouth. Dele Alli’s resurgence continued with a goal either side of half time, putting Spurs 2-0 up and in control. Alli was again involved in the 3rd goal, sending Heung Min Son down the line, who set up Moussa Sissoko at the far post. Harry Wilson was introduced from the bench for Bournemouth and threatened to turn the game around. A 73rd minute free kick was followed by an injury time second, but it was too little to late to complete the unlikely comeback. It’s the third time in Jose’s 3 games that Spurs have conceded twice but still went on to win. Could we be seeing a completely different approach from Mourinho in North London?
Where’s The Value Bet
Despite Tottenham seemingly becoming a better side than Manchester United recently, the record between the sides is still split down the middle. In the last 8 meetings in all competitions, both sides have won 4 times. Tottenham edge the goals 11-6, but the 2 sides have been very evenly matched when they have met in recent years. In fact, the two sides haven’t drawn at all in over 6 years. With that being said, and with both sides having very average seasons this year, we’re going to look at the double chance market. We can back 1 or 2 @ 20/67, meaning that the bet wins if either Manchester United or Tottenham win.

Bet UK’s Headline Betting Tip
As we’ve already mentioned, Dele Alli has been the main beneficiary of Jose Mourinho’s appointment at Tottenham. He has looked like a completely different player in Mourinho’s system and looks like getting back to his best form.
