LAST TIME OUT IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Stoke City have struggled since their relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season. Gary Rowett clearly knows what he is doing at this level after good spells at Birmingham City and Derby County, but it is just not clicking for him at The Potters so far. Stoke travelled to Hillsborough on Saturday and took an early two goal lead thanks to a double from Benik Afobe, but their defensive problems came back to haunt them yet again, as Sheffield Wednesday brought it back to 2-2 thanks to goals from Marco Matias and Barry Bannan. Stoke have the second worst defence in the Championship so far, which has lead to them dropping to 20th in the table.

After his goal-scoring exploits at the weekend, Bet UK are offering odds of 6/4* for Benik Afobe to score anytime.

LAST TIME OUT IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Returning after the international break is never easy for any club, and The Swans found it difficult in the home fixture with Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The match ended in a goalless draw, with Swansea City admittedly on the back foot for portions of the game. The away side created plenty of chances but did not bring their shooting boots. Joel Asoro had a decent chance to hand Graham Potter’s side the win but it was not to be on the day. It was far from the greatest game the Liberty City Stadium crowd will ever see, but it did lift The Swans up to 6th in the Championship.

Swans striker Oli McBurnie has scored 4 goals already this season, and he is currently 3/1* to score anytime in this contest with Bet UK’s online betting sportsbook, boosted from 9/4.

STOKE CITY V SWANSEA CITY HEAD TO HEAD

Swansea do not have the greatest recent record against Stoke, losing 3 out of the last 4 fixtures between the two sides. The most recent of those games ended up as a 1-2 win for The Potters at The Liberty Stadium in May, due to goals from Badou Ndiaye and former England striker Peter Crouch, after Andy King had opened the scoring for The Swans. The last Swansea victory came back in April 2017, when Fernando Llorente and Tom Carroll fired past Jack Butland as part of a 2-0 win.

Bet UK’s sports betting feature has boosted odds of 10/1* for McBurnie to Score, Over 2.5 Goals and Swansea to Win, which was previously 15/2.

WHERE TO WATCH AND WHERE TO LISTEN

The match will be shown live from 7:45pm on both Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event.

BET UK’S PREDICTION

Though it was not a great performance against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Swansea City will still fancy their chances of going to Stoke and getting a result. The home side have been in dreadful form this season, and The Swans have looked dangerous on the road. Bet UK predicts a 1-2 win for Swansea, which is currently 15/1 at our online sportsbook. Swansea to win the match is also boosted from 33/10 to 4/1.
