Horse Racing Sports Betting
Outside of football, horse racing is one of the most popular sports to bet on in the UK. One of the biggest events of the UK calendar is the Cheltenham Festival, ran for 4 days each March. Following that, we have the Grand National in April and Royal Ascot in June to complete an incredible run of racing in Britain. Outside of the larger festivals, there is still racing every day to bet on at Bet UK.
Bet UK will have sports betting markets available for every race in the UK and Ireland, every day of the year. You can bet on the winner of each race, as well as placing each way bets and forecasts on a larger selection of horses. Bet UK also offers betting on US horse racing, with odds for all races including the world famous Triple Crown events.
Live Sports Betting
One of the biggest changes in sports betting over the last 10 years has been the introduction of live betting. Live betting allows you to place bets on events as they take place, allowing you to take advantage of different situations. Live betting is particularly popular in football betting, where one substitution or injury can completely change the flow of a match. If a new striker is coming on, you can bet on him to score the next goal, or simply back his team to win.
Tennis betting and darts betting also offer plenty of live betting opportunities. You can bet on each set, game or even each specific point in tennis, or you can choose to bet on the winner of a specific leg in darts. The live betting selections are often different to the normal pre-match markets, so it’s always worth checking them out during big events.
The Return Of Football
After sport around the world was put on hold, we are starting to see our favourite leagues come back. For football, we’ve got the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga all up and running, with matches almost every day. With the Bundesliga being all but over at this point, we’re taking a look at the other 3 main leagues across Europe and see what is still left to play for.
The Premier League is what everyone has been looking forward to and now we are fully underway. Liverpool are still on track for the title, but there’s still plenty to play for. Here’s a quick look at the table to remind us of where we stand:
Manchester City and Leicester look almost safe for the Champions League next year, but the rest of the European places are well up for grabs. Chelsea hold that 4th spot as it stands, but with a tough run of fixtures coming up, their position is in jeopardy. Tottenham and Manchester United have two of the easiest runs left in the league, so they could be the biggest threat to Frank Lampard’s side. Wolves are another side with an outside chance, but it looks like the break has hit Sheffield United hard as they struggle to get any form going. You can bet on all the Premier League matches, as well as outright sports betting for the rest of the season with Bet UK.
The title race in La Liga is a lot closer than in any other major league in Europe, with Barcelona and Real Madrid facing off for the top spot. Here’s how the top 6 looks at the time of writing:
Barcelona have been top of the league for the majority of the season, but an incredible run from Real Madrid has put their position in jeopardy. Key injuries to Barca’s forward line hasn’t helped the cause, but this race could do down to the wire. In the race for Europe, Atletico Madrid have improved tenfold since the league restarted. They’ve overtaken Sevilla for the 3rd place and it looks like another year with the top 3 dominating in Spain.
Juventus look like securing another league title in Serie A, although it might be a closer battle than they’ve been used to. Here’s how the top of the table looks in Italy:
Cristiano Ronaldo has kept himself as fit as ever during the mid season break, and has come back to continue scoring goals. Despite Inter Milan’s strong start to the season, it’s Lazio who are the main challengers in Serie A. Ciro Immobile is having a career year and with plenty of talent in midfield, it won’t be a surprise to see Lazio in the Champions League next year. Napoli have been the biggest disappointment this season, and look to be missing out on Europe’s top competition for the first time in 4 years.
