Premier League Darts Betting Tips & Preview: Night 6 - Nottingham
Night 6 of the Premier League Darts takes place in the city of Nottingham. James Wade leads the table on leg difference, with 4 players locked on 7 points. Last week Bet UK’s resident darts tipster was 4 out of 5 in his tips for the Premier League Darts in Aberdeen, and this week we are looking for a full house.
Here are our darts betting tips for The 2019 Premier League Darts Night 6 in Nottingham.
Premier League Darts Tips
Where Is The Value?
The last few months must have been even greater than Nathan Aspinall could have ever dreamed of. Reaching the semi-final of the World Darts Championship made years of hard work worth it, while it has got even better for the Stockport thrower since then. The UK Open is notorious for being one of the hardest tournaments to win due to the unseeded format, but Aspinall came through and lifted the trophy, beating former World Champion Rob Cross in the final.
Now comes an invitation to play in the Premier League Darts as one of the “Contenders”, stepping in for an injured Gary Anderson. His opponent will be Michael Smith, the man that defeated Aspinall in the World Championship semi-final. Since then though, the two men have been on different trajectories in terms of form. Aspinall is on the up, while Smith is struggling. Darts odds of 2/1* for Aspinall to win this contest and become the first Contender to do so provides good value.
Other Premier League Darts Betting Predictions - Night Six:
James Wade vs Mensur Suljovic
James Wade has arguably been in the form of his career over the last few months, and now sits right at the summit of the Premier League Darts table with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss from his 5 matches so far. This includes two astonishing performances over the last few weeks. Michael van Gerwen fell 7-3 to the Machine and Daryl Gurney was whitewashed 7-0 last week. Wade takes on Mensur Suljovic this time around and he goes in as a favourite for good reason. We are tipping Wade to win here at darts betting odds of 1/1*.
Rob Cross vs Raymond van Barneveld
It feels like we are saying the same thing week after week about Raymond van Barneveld, but things just don’t seem to be getting any better for the 5 time Champion of the World. A match against Rob Cross would not be the fixture he would have chosen here either, as it will be a very difficult game for him. Barney is no stranger to being the underdog in recent years, but he just doesn’t seem to have the fight or the game to come out on top against the best players in the world anymore. Bet UK are backing Rob Cross to claim the 2 points.
SPECIAL MARKET - EXACT SCORE
It is unlikely that Barney will make much of a dent into Rob Cross’ armour, so we believe the Exact Score market will see a heavy win for “Voltage”. We fancy Barney to get 2 legs on the board but no more than that.
Gerwyn Price vs Michael van Gerwen
Michael van Gerwen is in a slump, there is absolutely no doubt about that. After losing to James Wade in Exeter, the defending Premier League Champion headed to Aberdeen to take on their local hero John Henderson. Big Hendo rode the wave of the incredible atmosphere of his home crowd to grab a deserved draw and shock the world. That being said, MVG never stays down for too long and he will be absolutely desperate to get back to winning ways here. Gerwyn Price has been excellent in the Premier League so far this year but crucially he has never beaten van Gerwen in the 13 matches throughout their careers. That is why we are backing van Gerwen to win at odds of 10/19*.
Peter Wright vs Daryl Gurney
Peter Wright is only 1 point off the top of the league but that does not tell the whole story of his season so far. Snakebite has been far from his best this year and knows that he can do a lot better. The same can definitely be said for his Nottingham opponent Daryl Gurney, who was embarrassed last week in a 7-0 defeat. Wright is the better play consistently and is also fresh off a win last week, so we are backing it to be yet another miserable night for Daryl Gurney.
