Arsenal v Manchester City Betting Tips
Freddie Ljungberg’s first real test as Arsenal manager is coming up this weekend as Manchester City travel to the Emirates. The Swede has failed to improve Arsenal since Unai Emery’s exit, only getting a win away at a faltering West Ham. Pep Guardiola’s side are hardly in exceptional form themselves, coming into this match on the back of a 2-1 defeat in the Manchester derby.

Arsenal’s Recent Form
Last Time Out For Arsenal
Arsenal got their first win of the ‘Freddie Ljungberg era’ with a comeback win against West Ham. Early on, it looked like the same old Arsenal as West Ham took a first half lead. The Gunners failed to deal with a corner, which was put back into the box for Angelo Ogbonna to score his second goal in 3 weeks. It took until the 60th minute for Arsenal to really threaten West Ham. But when the defence opened up, Arsenal took full advantage. Gabriel Martinelli grabbed his first Premier League goal, before Nicolas Pepe put Arsenal in the lead just 6 minutes later with a curling effort into the top corner. On 69 minutes, it was game over when Pierre Emerick Aubameyang continued his goal-scoring form to complete Arsenal’s comeback. Going forward, Arsenal still look promising but defensively there are real worries.
Manchester City - 5/11 To Win
Manchester City’s Recent Form
Last Time Out For Manchester City
Pep Guardiola came into the Manchester derby knowing his side were already 14 points behind Liverpool at the top of the Premier League. He wouldn’t have been happy at the end of the match when that gap hadn’t been closed. United looked in control from the first whistle and took a deserved lead after 23 minutes. Despite a break for VAR, a penalty was awarded to United and duly dispatched by Marcus Rashford. 6 minutes later, Anthony Martial finished off a counter attack with a smart shot into the bottom corner. As they have done a few times this season, City struggled to break through a defence that sat back, despite having the majority of the ball. City failed to get the goal that could inspire a comeback until the 85th minute, when it was too little, too late. It’s another result in a poor run for City that has put doubt on Guardiola’s future in England. What might come as a welcome surprise in a dismal spell, is the goalscoring form of Gabriel Jesus, who has 5 goals in his last 3 games in all competitions.
Where’s The Value Bet?
Since Guardiola took over at Man City, there are few sides he has a better record against than Arsenal. In fact, in his whole managerial career, Guardiola has beaten no side more times than he has beaten Arsenal. Since Guardiola came to England in 2016, City have won 6 of 8 games against Arsenal, drawing and losing once as well. Those wins are often blowouts, regardless of whether they are at the Emirates or the Etihad. City have outscored their opponents 17-6, with an average of just under 3 goals per game. So there’s no doubt that City can score freely, including this season where they are averaging 2.75 goals per game. With that being said, City to score over 2.5 goals is currently EVS at Bet UK, which looks like a great value bet.

Bet UK’s Headline Betting Tip
Guardiola will definitely be able to outclass Freddie Ljungberg with tactics and given the huge difference in quality between the sides, this should be a landslide Man City victory.
