Liverpool v Chelsea Betting Tips
After both sides won in Europe this week, Liverpool and Chelsea face off against each other in the Premier League on Sunday. Liverpool are still well in the title race and with Chelsea still trying to get a top 4 finish, there is still plenty to play for in this one. This one kicks off just after Manchester City’s game on Sunday, so Liverpool could be under some pressure. Will Mauricio Sarri’s side take advantage of that or will Mo Salah want some revenge over his old club?
Liverpool’s Recent Form
Last Time Out In The Premier League
At St Mary’s, Liverpool scored two late goals to complete a 3-1 comeback against Southampton. Liverpool found themselves a goal down after just 9 minutes when Shane Long was left completely free on the edge of the six yard box. Liverpool instantly went on the attack and got their reward on 36 minutes. After a few poor crosses, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross found Naby Keita at the back post, who headed in for his first Premier League goal of the season. Liverpool continued to dominate the game, but it took until the 80th minute for the Reds to find a second. After a cleared Southampton corner, Mo Salah picked up the ball inside his own half, before running 50 yards and finishing into the bottom corner. Any worries of a late draw were quickly ended when Jordan Henderson added a 3rd goal late on from Roberto Firmino’s cross. The win put Liverpool back on top on 82 points, 2 points ahead of City who have a game in hand.
Chelsea’s Recent Form
Last Time Out In The Premier League
Eden Hazard shone at Stamford Bridge in a 2-0 win last time out for Chelsea. After a tepid start, Chelsea looked to Hazard for some inspiration - and he produced. Picking the ball up 30 yards out, Hazard dribbled past 4 West Ham defenders before firing into the bottom corner. The Belgian was clearly in the mood and almost provided an assist for Gonzalo Higuain, but he could only hit the post from Hazard’s through ball. Chelsea pinned West Ham in their own box for the whole match and Hazard could have had a hattrick, but it took him until the final minute to add another goal. Barkley picked him out in acres of space, before Hazard hammered home a half volley across Fabianski into the net. Hazard has had an up and down season so far, but if he can continue this form, then he will be a key part in Chelsea’s top 4 push.
Where’s the Value Bet?
Despite having the best defence in the league, Liverpool have grown sloppy of late. In their last 4 games, Liverpool have won, but also conceded. That makes it 11 times that Liverpool have won and both teams have scored this season. It’s been a typically safe bet since Jurgen Klopp took over, even now with an improved defence. In 8 of the last 10 games between these two sides, both teams have scored and with Liverpool considered favourites, we can expect our tip to at least come close.

Bet UK’s Headline Betting Tip
After Chelsea sent him packing, Mo Salah will still be wanting to get one over on his former employers. Especially given his race for the Golden Boost, Salah might want to prove a point to those still saying he’s had a poor season.
