BMW International Open Golf Betting Tips
Golfclub Munchen Eichenried - Moosinning, Bavaria, Germany - Par 72, 7,157 Yards.
It seems almost every other week these days that we come into a tournament on the back of a Major Championship, and this week we are very much in that scenario as a number of the top Europeans from Pebble Beach make the long trip from California to Bavaria to compete in one of the European Tour’s flagship events.
Thirty minutes drive North East of Munich sits Munchen Eichenried which hosts this tournament for the sixth time. A flat, relatively easy, parkland course, Eichenried provides a very different test to the blustery links golf we saw last week, and the winning score is likely to be pushing 20 under par on what is largely a putting contest with a further emphasis on not making mistakes with the approach shots to the large, forgiving, greens.
Some of the few defences available to this track are 10 water hazards (few are realistically in play), and a very thick second cut of rough, though this will affect only the most wayward of drives. Players that hit the ball long, straight, and have a good week with the putter will contend at a venue where shotmaking and scrambling are not going to provide much benefit to the more traditional players in the field (Fitzpatrick, Olesen, Dubuisson).
