Watch Teddy’s Tips - Episode 1
Premier League Winner 2022/23
Head - Liverpool: 49/20
"Liverpool might nick it with their strength in depth"
Having assessed the qualities of each team in the league, Teddy backed Liverpool to lift the title this season, in what would be their first success since the 2019/20 season. It would also be Liverpool’s 20th English top division title overall.
Heart - Manchester City: 8/11
"I love the way Manchester City play … a whole new level"
Manchester City are the form team in recent history, winning the trophy in four of the last five seasons. Teddy’s heart says they’ll do it again this time around, for three in a row, just like his Manchester United team did back in 1999-2001.
Hunch - Tottenham Hotspur: 14/1
"Tottenham are as good as they’ve ever been"
Former club Tottenham Hotspur are Teddy’s hunch to come out on top. The North London side have bolstered their already-impressive squad during the close season, and with the firepower of Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, and Dejan Kulusevski, they look formidable.
Premier League Top Goalscorer 2022/23
Head - Harry Kane: 6/1
"When Harry Kane’s happy … he scores goals"
The focal point of Tottenham’s team, Harry Kane is always likely to be among the league’s top scorers over the course of a season. Teddy is convinced Harry has what it takes to deliver this year too, for what would be the fourth time in his career.
Heart - Harry Kane: 6/1
"I can’t tell you enough how good Harry Kane is"
An England striker playing for Tottenham who loves to score goals? You can see why Teddy’s heart is joining his head in backing Harry Kane to get the most goals across the campaign this season.
Hunch - Mohamed Salah: 9/2
"He’s got a fantastic eye for goal, very much like Thierry Henry"
If it’s not Harry Kane, then the man who has won the same number of golden boots as him makes for a solid hunch. Liverpool’s Egyptian forward is a lethal threat, and having split the accolade with Son Heung-min last year, he’ll be looking to be the outright top scorer again.

"West Ham fans won’t be happy about me going against them…"
In line with his predictions for the title winners, Teddy sees both Liverpool and Manchester City opening with wins. Liverpool visit Fulham’s Craven Cottage for a Saturday 12:30pm kick-off, with Man City also in the capital as they’re welcomed by West Ham on Sunday at 4:30pm.
Heart - Kane First Scorer: 14/5
"He leads by example … he’ll go out and show the way"
With Southampton joint-fourth on the list of teams Harry Kane has scored the most goals against in the Premier League, he’ll be up for it. There’s sometimes a hoodoo around Kane’s ability to score goals in August, but the prolific striker will be looking to start his season with a bang.
Hunch - Crystal Palace: 7/2
"Patrick Vieira will have them buzzing all over the pitch"
It’s no surprise to see Teddy backing the bitter adversaries of his former club Tottenham to come up short on the opening day. Crystal Palace host Arsenal on Friday night at 8:00pm; can they pull off an early upset against their London rivals?
