Europa League - Fixtures On 27th February
After our 8/1 boosted treble flew in last week, Bet UK are back with another accumulator for this week’s Europa League fixtures. This week, we’ve picked out Basel, Frankfurt and Roma all to win and put together a 15/1 treble. For the latest football betting odds for all Europa League matches, make sure to head over to Bet UK’s online betting.
Basel come into their game with APOEL defending a 3-0 lead, knowing that their place is all but secured in the round of 16. They will be even more confident knowing that they will be defending that lead at St Jakob’s Park, a ground with an impressive European record. In the last 4 years, Basel have only lost 3 matches at home. One of those was against a dominant Manchester City side in the Champions League, with only 2 defeats in the Europa League. They face an APOEL side on Thursday that has only won 3 away matches in European group stages since 2015. With the contrasting records of both sides, Basel at 5/7 looks a great price for the home side to make it another win.
Roma have hardly blown away their opponents this season, and struggled through qualification in Group J. However, they did only lose one game to an impressive Borussia Monchengladbach. 4-0 and 3-0 wins against Istanbul Basaksehir, who went on to win the group, show the quality that this Roma side has. They come into this game on the back of a 4-0 win at the weekend against Lecce. For Gent, they dominated Group I, but also faced disappointing Saint Ettienne and Oleksandria sides. In a tougher group, it might have been a tougher task for Gent. Roma won the first leg 1-0, with Gent missing a host of chances. Despite Gent having two players with 7 Europa League goals, they couldn’t finish their chances, which could catch up to them tonight.
After the first leg, Frankfurt head to Salzburg with a dominating 4-1 lead. Frankfurt haven’t been as potent this season as they were in 18/19, but they have still impressed in Europe. Away from home, they have won 4 out of their 6 games, conceding just 5 goals. Although they have lost Sebastian Haller and Luka Jovic in the summer, their counter-attacking style hasn’t changed. That was on show when they beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates and is the reason they are so impressive away from home. With Salzburg needing to attack from the first minute, expect Frankfurt to grab an away goal that kills this game. If Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino were still available for Salzburg, this would be a different story. But, losing your two best forward players will always have a huge effect on your attacking output.
