England v Montenegro Betting Tips
In a week where tensions have boiled over in the England camp, Gareth Southgate’s focus will be fully on beating Montenegro and qualifying for Euro 2020. Raheem Sterling has been left out of the team for Thursday, but there will be plenty of quality for a team that won this match 5-1 eight months ago.
England - 2/35 To Win
England’s Recent Form
Last Time Out For England
England battled in a hostile environment in a 6-0 win away at Bulgaria. England took the lead after just 7 minutes, cutting in from the left hand side and curling an effort into the far corner. Ross Barkley scored a quickfire brace from inside the box, before Raheem Sterling made it 4 in first half injury time. Racist chanting from Bulgaria fans threatened to postpone the game, but England’s side remained focused and continued their dominance in the second half. Sterling added his second goal after 67 minutes and England made it 6 with just 5 minutes left through Harry Kane. It was a simple win for England who could have won by more than 6. The win took England within a win of Euro 2020 qualification at the top of Group A.
Montenegro - 34/1 To Win
Montenegro’s Recent Form
Last Time Out For Montenegro
Montenegro were officially eliminated from Euro 2020 contention with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Kosovo. Montenegro needed a win going into the game but were on the back foot from the kick off. England fans will be more than aware of the quality that Kosovo have after their 5-3 win back in September, and that was on show again against Montenegro. Just 10 minutes into the game, centre half Amir Rrahmani scored the opening goal from a corner. After countless chances, forward Vedat Muriqi finally capitalised and doubled Kosovo’s lead after 35 minutes. No more goals were scored and if anything, Montonegran goalkeeper Danijel Petkovic ended the game as man of the match for keeping the Kosovo attack at bay. Going forward, Montenegro showed very little that would worry the English defence.
Where’s The Value Bet?
As with most qualifying stages, England sit at the top of the table and have scored goals for fun. In 6 Euro 2020 qualifiers, England have knocked in 26 goals, an average of 5.2 goals per game. Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane are the main benefactors of England’s attacking play, racking up 8 goals each. Ross Barkley has also impressed recently, including his 2 goals away in Bulgaria. Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Michael Keane have also all popped up with a goal or two. So although England have two main outlets, their strength in depth becomes very apparent against weaker opposition. We are backing England to score another few against Montenegro and England to score over 4.5 goals at 53/20 looks like great value.

Bet UK’s Headline Betting Tip
Kane hasn’t been in great form for Spurs, but he always shines in an England shirt. In a match that England need to win, we expect Kane to prove a point from the outset and grab an early goal.
