Premier League Darts Betting Tips & Preview: Night 11 - Liverpool
The Darts heads to Merseyside as Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena is the venue for Night 11 of the Premier League. This is becoming an incredibly well-fought competition with the possibility of anyone beating anyone the way things have gone. The fact that the bottom two players are Michael Smith and Peter Wright speaks volumes about how wide open the 2019 Premier League Darts really is.

Premier League Darts Tips
Where Is The Value?
The last six times that these two players have met each other in various competitions, Gerwyn Price has won three times and Mensur Suljovic has won three times. In terms of talent, they seem very evenly matched even though they place with very different styles. Price likes to throw quickly while Suljovic is a much more methodical player. The key to this match is likely to be whether or not the Austrian can slow the game down enough to frustrate Price. It’s well known that the Welshman is hot-headed, so the question is can he keep his cool under pressure in Liverpool.
“The Gentle” is 3rd in the Premier League Darts table at the moment just three points off the lead. Last week in Belfast saw Mensur claim a very impressive 8-6 victory over James Wade, a man that had been in an incredible run of form. Gerwyn Price had an interesting evening, going 5-1 up against Michael van Gerwen, only to see the World Champion recover and claim a point with the 7-7 draw. This week, we’re backing Mensur Suljovic to get the win at odds of 6/4*.
Other Premier League Darts Betting Predictions - Night 11:
Rob Cross vs Peter Wright
When many pundits were asked who they thought would be top of the Premier League Darts table at this stage, almost all of them would have said Michael van Gerwen. They would have been wrong though, as it is Rob Cross who leads the way. His 15 points from 10 matches see him one point and one place above MVG. Last week, Cross cantered to a victory over local hero Daryl Gurney, while his opponent this week Peter Wright claimed a 7-7 draw against Michael Smith.
In terms of the head to head stats, Cross has five wins overall while Wright has three. Earlier in this Premier League season they played out a 6-6 draw, but “Voltage” is playing much better darts now than he was back then, and “Snakebite” is languishing second from bottom in the table. We believe Rob Cross will be simply too good in this one, and he can be backed at odds of 4/5*.
James Wade vs Daryl Gurney
James Wade has been a bit of an enigma in this competition so far. For the most part, he has been playing some excellent darts and claiming great results, such as the convincing victory over Michael van Gerwen. However, he has also followed these up with some disappointing losses, such as the 8-6 defeat to Suljovic last time out. Daryl Gurney is level on points with Wade and also beat van Gerwen earlier in the competition, so this should be a really intriguing contest.
“Superchin” has only ever beaten “The Machine” once though, which was back in the Grand Slam of Darts 2017. Gurney will still be having nightmares about being whitewashed 7-0 by Wade earlier in this Premier League campaign, the ultimate humiliation for a darts player at this level. Though we don’t expect it to be anywhere near as convincing this time around, we do believe Wade will claim the two points with a win. He can be backed at odds of 6/5* with Bet UK’s online betting.
Michael Smith vs Michael van Gerwen
Neither of these men have been anywhere near their best in this campaign, though MVG has still been at a much higher level than the man he defeated in the World Darts Championship final, Michael Smith. “Bully Boy” is bottom of the table and looks devoid of confidence at the moment. A draw with Peter Wright last week will not have been enough to raise his spirits, and this contest will be a mammoth task for him.
Including that World Championship win, van Gerwen has beaten Smith a total of 15 times throughout his career, while he has only lost to the man from St Helens 3 times. Earlier this Premier League campaign it was a competitive match that went right down to the final leg, but the Dutchman claimed the win in the end. Considering Smith’s poor form in this Premier League, it would be a huge shock if van Gerwen didn’t win. He can be backed at odds of 10/27*.
