Cerrone vs McGregor Betting Guide
Two of the most exciting fighters in UFC history come face to face at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It's the biggest star in the UFC, Conor McGregor against Donald Cerrone, who holds records for the most UFC wins (23) the most UFC finishes (16) the most UFC bonuses (18) and the most UFC knockdowns (20) - He's one of the most exciting and most decorated fighters in UFC history.
Conor McGregor makes his return to the UFC octagon since losing to Khabib Nurmagamedov in October of 2018. In that time McGregor has had several brushes with the law while Cerrone has competed in 5 fights, winning three and losing two. It's clear that 'Cowboy' has been much more active, which will be sure to play a part in the fight.
The contest will also be at welterweight where Cerrone has been successful before. It's also the same weight class McGregor suffered his first loss in the UFC against Nate Diaz but later claimed revenge at the same weight class via decision, although some corners of the MMA community had it for Diaz.
McGregor has shown weakness in his cardio, especially the higher up in weight he goes while Cerrone is known for his gas tank, knockout power and slippery submissions. Between the two fighters' records it's hard to see this fight going the distance.

How Does Cerrone vs McGregor Betting Stack Up?
The McGregor odds are surprising because he comes in as the Bet UK online betting favourite against a polished and decorated Donald Cerrone. 'Cowboy' is a big underdog, which I find hard to believe considering the records he holds, the experience he has, the fact he's much more rounded and he's fought at welterweight many times and been successful.
Bet UK has a selection of UFC betting markets and McGregor betting odds to choose from. In this preview we'll provide our value bets and breakdown of each fighter.
After an interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN was released on Monday morning, Conor McGregor's odds shot down to 20/67. In the interview, McGregor spoke about his return to the octagon, his new contract with the UFC and his aspirations out of the ring. Punters were clearly impressed with what Conor had to say as his price started to drop in the hours after the interview was released. Hear what he had to say in the video below:
McGregor Betting Value
McGregor is a special fighter and a very skilled boxer there's no questions there, but the main concerns are what does he do after round 2? When the punches don't have the same snap and the movement slows down like we saw in the Diaz fight, then it becomes either a brawl or hits the canvas, which is where McGregor doesn't want to be. However, McGregor has amazing accuracy and power in the left hand and he's beaten wrestlers and submission artists before, so what's different this time? The weight... I believe welterweight is too big for the Irishman. His body and fighting style matches a fast and lighter weight given the explosiveness of his style. But just look at his record, in 21 wins he's finished 18 inside the distance, Cerrone has been in the game for a long time and has had his chin tested numerous times, most notably he's been TKO'd in his last two fights.
Cerrone Betting Value
Cerrone holds multiple records in the UFC, the world's greatest and most talented fight organisation, he's also a successful fighter in the famous WEC. The WEC was a hotbed for future UFC champions such as Jose Aldo, Anthony Pettis, Urijah Faber, Benson Henderson and many more. 'Cowboy' carried his success over to the UFC where he's put together a range of title runs including an 8-fight winning streak, which contributed to holding the record of 'most UFC wins'. Cerrone has won by submission 17 times and is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blackbelt, so if the fight hits the ground our money is on Cerrone. His excellent cardio could be the difference if the fight enters the later rounds. I see the fight playing out like the first Diaz fight, with McGregor getting tired and giving up position where Cerrone will take advantage.
