Carabao Cup 4th Round Betting Tips
There are only three matches left in the Carabao Cup 4th Round, with the final chance for some Championship sides to make a statement on a big stage. The last couple of nights have been dominated by Premier League sides, even with Newcastle almost losing to League 2 Newport. For the latest football betting odds on all Carabao Cup matches, make sure to head over to Bet UK’s betting markets.
Carabao Cup Boosted Accumulator
After our Carabao Cup boosted bet came in for Round Three, Bet UK have boosted Brentford, Villa and Liverpool all to win tonight to 6/1. All three teams are at home on Thursday, and each will be feeling confident that they can make it to the 20/21 Carabao Cup Quarter Finals.
Brentford v Fulham - 17:30, Thursday 1st October
Brentford could easily become the only team from the Championship to make this year’s quarter-finals as they take on Fulham tonight. Brentford have already knocked out two Premier League sides in Southampton and West Brom so far. With Fulham currently sitting bottom of the Premier League, Brentford definitely won’t be worried about their chances. Brentford are unbeaten since losing on the opening day, and this match also gives them the perfect opportunity to get revenge for last season's Play-Off Final defeat. Fulham won on that day, but have lost their three league matches since then. With so much riding on staying in the Premier League, we would expect Fulham to field a weakened lineup and instead focus on their weekend trip to Wolves.
Aston Villa v Stoke City - 19:00, Thursday 1st October
Aston Villa have won every game they’ve played so far this season and will be expecting to carry on that run against Stoke. Barring a win against Wolves in Round 2, Stoke have laboured through the Carabao Cup so far. They only beat Blackpool on penalties and struggled in a 1-0 win over Gillingham. Tonight, they’ll face a much tougher test against a Villa side in form, and full of confidence. Villa have had a fortunate run so far, but they have still been convincing in their victories. Their summer transfer business has given them much more squad depth compared to last year, meaning they could change their lineup entirely and still feel confident. Last year, Villa’s whole club saw a massive boost as they reached the Carabao Cup Final, so it would be surprising if they didn’t take the competition seriously again this year.
Liverpool v Arsenal - 19:45, Thursday 1st October
Round 4 has been bookended by the top two games of the round, starting with Spurs v Chelsea and ending with Liverpool v Arsenal tonight. Both sides have only played one round so far in the Carabao Cup, due to their European commitments. Liverpool comfortably swept Lincoln aside with a 7-2 win, despite changing their full 11. Arsenal, on the other hand, needed a strong lineup to beat Leicester 2-0. With both sides having plenty of quality, we think there’ll be more first-team players on show on both sides. When these two sides played at the weekend, Mane, Firmino, Lacazette and Willian were all withdrawn at some point in preparation for tonight. Regardless of how these teams set up, Liverpool will have a mental advantage after winning just days ago and winning this tie in last year’s Carabao Cup. Add onto that the fact that Jurgen Klopp is yet to win one of the domestic trophies in England, and we could see a Liverpool rout tonight.
