Schalke To Beat Werder Bremen @ 7/5

Schalke haven’t impressed so far this season, but there is no better way to bounce back than a game against Werder Bremen. Since the Bundesliga restarted, Schalke have lost 3 of 3. But, Werder Bremen are also destined for relegation and will surely be a straightforward challenge for Schalke. The last time these two met, Schalke easily won 2-1 thanks to goals from Amine Harit and Benito Raman. With that game to look back on for David Wagner, and given Bremen’s position, there is no excuse for Schalke not to win this weekend. Regardless of recent performances for Werder, we have to expect that Schalke will eventually play the football they have already shown they can and pick up their first win in 10.

Wolfsburg To Beat Eintracht Frankfurt @ 20/21

Wolfsburg bounced back from a defeat against Dortmund with an incredible 4-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in midweek. Wolfsburg dominated the early proceedings, but it still took 42 minutes for them to take the lead through Marin Pongracic. In the second half, the goals came much easier however, with Pongracic picking up a second goan, Max Arnold scoring a freekick and Max Arnold rounding off the game. Wolfsburg are now in pole position to finish 6th and will hope to add another 3 points against Frankfurt. That seems almost a certainty given the recent form of Frankfurt. Since restarting the Bundesliga, they have conceded 11 goals in 3 games, picking up just 1 point and putting in some of the poorest defensive performances you are likely to see.

Hertha Berlin To Beat Augsburg @ 10/11

The final leg of our Hit The Target Treble is Hertha Berlin to beat Augsburg. The midweek fixtures could hardly have gone much differently for these two sides. Hertha Berlin were widely tipped to be beaten at RB Leipzig, but came away with a point. Although Hertha needed a late penalty to get that point, they arguably deserved all 3 after an impressive performance against a title chasing side. For Augsburg, it was a gameweek of disappointment after a 0-0 draw with bottom side Paderborn. It wasn’t as if Paderborn had defended well as in recent weeks, it was just a purely uninspiring performance from Augsburg. If they perform similarly against Hertha, then a better quality side will easily be able to pick them off and take the 3 points.
