Arsenal v Chelsea Betting Tips and Preview
Another London Derby gets underway this weekend as Arsenal host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium. Both sides started the season with new managers and are now fully adapted to the new bosses’ tactics, to differing successes. Unai Emery led his side on a remarkable 20 game unbeaten run, but recent matches have cast some doubts over his Arsenal team. Mauricio Sarri, on the other hand, has survived his slight wobble after losing for the first time, and his Chelsea side look like a certain for the top 4.

A disappointing run of form for the Gunners continued with a 1-0 defeat away at West Ham. Both sides came close with long range efforts in the first half. Felipe Anderson just dragged his shot wide of the post before Matteo Guendouzi skimmed the bar from range. The second half opened with a goal from youngster Declan Rice, his first for West Ham. Following a corner, Felipe Anderson crossed again before debutant Samir Nasri set Rice up for a finish into the top corner. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi both had chances to equalise for Arsenal, but neither side can complain with the 1-0 result.
Chelsea Premier League Form

Chelsea’s top 4 push continued with a 2-1 win over Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle. It took just 9 minutes for Chelsea to unlock Newcastle’s defence, which included Florian Lejeune’s first appearance of the season. David Luiz’s incredible no look pass found Pedro on the edge of the area, before a perfectly placed lob over Martin Dubravka opened the scoring. After scoring at one end, Pedro was at fault at the other for Newcastle’s equaliser. From a corner, Pedro left his post which allowed Ciaran Clark’s well placed header to find the bottom corner. In the second half, Willian found space just inside the area and hit a perfect curling effort into the far post to restore Chelsea’s advantage. Both sides had chances in the second half, but Chelsea will be disappointed that they couldn’t add to their 2 goals.
Arsenal v Chelsea Head to Head
Arsenal Wins - 76 Draws - 57 Chelsea Wins - 63
Arsenal and Chelsea are both sides known for making the most of domestic competitions, with most games between the sides in the last 2 years coming in the cups. Altogether, Chelsea have only won 2 of their last 9 games against Arsenal. In the league, Chelsea have an improved record, including a 3-2 win over the Gunners in August. In fact, Chelsea haven't lost away at Arsenal in the league since December 2010. Some might argue that this is a different side to the ones that have faced Chelsea recently, but after a promising start to life under Unai Emery, Arsenal are slipping back into their old habits.
