How do I get my winnings, and do you make a charge for sending them?

The easiest way is to click on the ‘withdraw’ button on the BetUK.com website when you are logged in. You will then be able to choose how much you wish to withdraw and how you want the money sent to you. We will normally ask you to withdraw by the same method that you made your original deposit into your BetUK account. You can also e-mail us to request your winnings. Remember to have your ID number to hand. All requests are actioned on the next working day. You can choose from a variety of options. See Payment Methods for details. Some express options incur charges - please email us for up to date information. Some banks may also impose their own charges for receiving and sending funds - please check with your bank for details.

The name and address on your account will be the ONLY one that any refund will be processed for.

How do I know that my money is safe with your company?

You can be confident of the management of your account and the security of your funds on a number of levels:

• We are fully regulated by and have membership to a number of official regulatory bodies. We hold a UK Bookmakers Permit and have an additional licence held by Capital Consulting (N.A.) N.V., a Sportingbet group company.

I live in a country where it is illegal for me to bet here; can I bet with BetUK?

Your bet is processed and accepted on our servers here in the UK, where betting is legal. We are fully licensed to accept your bet on a strictly confidential basis. Under English common law, a bet is a contract and a contract is made where received.

You should consult your local authorities if you are in any doubt as to your legal position.

Are my winnings reported to any government agency?

Absolutely not. All your transactions and accounts with us are treated in the strictest confidence - we will not disclose your details to any third party. Likewise, all financial matters will be handled with absolute discretion.

How do I open an account?

Simply complete the online form on Account Setup; it will be processed immediately, and you will be automatically assigned a user name and password. Check that your log-in details work. Your account is ready to use as soon as your funds are cleared.

How do I make a deposit?

You can fund your account by whichever means is most convenient to you. You can use our secure online credit card facility to get betting straight away. (You must be a member before you can bet). You can also fund your account by a variety of other methods - see Payment Methods for details. Some banks may impose their own charges for receiving and sending funds - please check with your bank for details.

How can I place a bet?

You must be logged on as a member, with funds in your account to cover your stake/s.

Can I bet on credit?

No. Your account must contain enough funds to cover your stake/s. The difficulties in recovering debts internationally would compromise our own security and therefore that of our customers, so we do not permit credit accounts.

Are there any hidden charges?

There are no charges whatsoever for holding an account with BetUK.com. The only charges that may be applied to your account are for sending specific types of refunds, where we pass on the cost of the transaction (see point 1).

Do I have to be over 21 to bet on sports?

No - you are betting according to UK law, where the minimum age is 18.

Can I change my password ?

Yes you can. You should definitely change your password if you have reason to believe that someone else may have discovered it. You must have first logged on using your former username and password to be able to request a new password. New passwords must be between 7 and 12 characters, and can be a mixture of numbers and letters (but please don't use any punctuation). You will be asked also to provide a hint which will help you remember your password should you ever forget it.

What happens if I lose my password ?

If you have forgotten your password and cannot log in, we can send you your Password Reminder to help you remember it. Complete and submit the Password Reminder form, and we will email you back your hint.

Why can't I store my password on the website ?

Both IE and Firefox have a feature which enables you to store your password on your log-in page. However, we recommend that you do not use this feature. The correct entering of your password, every time you log on, is a vital procedure implemented for your own security. If you retain your password on your browser, it means that someone else can log in to your account if they know (or can guess) your user name. Why can I not phone BetUK?

After considerable testing of phone support we have found that we can answer customers queries faster and more effectively by email. We are introducing a ‘call back’ facility which will mean that customers can supply their account number and a telephone number and our senior support staff will then call you back with the details of your account already looked up to help speed up processing of your query.
